What we will accomplish in this lesson:

Lesson 14 showcases a technique we highlighted last summer during our Air-Drying course.

This video lesson will talk about how to transition with box braid outs.

A wonderful wait to limit heat and take advantage of your new natural texture.

Tools:

  • Moisturizer and/oil
  • Wide tooth comb
  • Rattail

Steps:

1. Begin by shampooing and deep conditioning your hair.
2. After lightly towel blotting, apply a generous amount of leave-in conditioner, moisturizer and oil.
3. Braid damp hair in one inch sections to create box braids. Let dry overnight and unravel in the morning.
4. For best results, braid damp hair. However, you can also air dry or blow dry on low and then braid for a looser, more subtle wave pattern
