The Healthy Textures' Stretching Course

Stretching is the technique of "stretching" the time in between relaxer touch ups. Many women find that this technique helps them achieve longer, stronger hair as it helps prevent overlapping, unnecessary trimming and contributes to an overall healthier head of hair.

Course Objectives


The course lessons will focus on:

  • Maintaining moisture and strength while stretching
  • Eliminating shedding, tangles and breakage
  • Blending or camouflaging new growth
  • Preparing the scalp and hair for relaxing.

Stretching Challenge
 

Next Challenge Begins March 1st, 2011

To help you make the most out of the course, we will run an Stretching Challenge beginning 3/1/2011.

A challenge typically involves a group of members that commit to a styling method or technique exclusively for a specific period of time.

For example, we have had Air-Drying Challenge and a Setting Challenge in the past.

Challenges are a fun way to learn a new styling technique and stay motivated by each member’s progress and observations.

To Join the Stretching Challenge:
  1. Download Stretching Course Study Guide (coming soon)
  2. Join the Stretching Challenge Group on the Internal or External forum on 3/1/2011 (details coming soon)
  3. Complete each weekly lesson and assignment with the group! Keep us updated with your progress.

* Please note - The group on the Internal forum will facilitated by Gennifer and will follow the Course Worksheet exclusively!

The External Forum group will Member Run. So, it may not follow the course timeline and assignments.
